Planning Permission
28 November 2010

Hi Guys
As you will see from the documents below we have our final planning permission in writing. Sorry for the apparent delays but we ran into a snag, the Environmental Health people decided to object on the basis that we may make too much noise.
We were lucky in having an excellent planning officer in the person of Mark Danforth who supported us and helped a great deal, I will be writing to his boss to commend him, but it, in effect, meant that the permission could not be 'nodded through' and had to go to the committee.
We had a lot of emails between Mark, me and the Environmental Health people, then Mark put it to the committee that after a year temporary and a previous 8 years without complaint the objections from Environmental Health were spurious and unreasonable.
The only conditions are to maintain the splay cut back, don't fly over the roads behind or to the West and maintain a turning and parking place off the road, all things we do already.
We do have a problem with the quality of the work on the entrance, the tarmac is only 1 inch thick, it should be 3 inches. We haven't paid them yet and they have investigated and I expect to hear from them soon.
Lousy weather at present, let's hope it improves for us, the field is now 'street legal' and needs using, hope to see you all there soon.
Regards
Brian
